For the Mini-First Time!

Happy Holidays and Welcome to Fascinating Hobby of Dollhouse Miniatures!

Dollhouse miniatures is a very unique and exciting hobby, on all scales. Not to be confused with model train scales, miniatures generally come in different sizes. The most common being the one inch scale.

List of miniature scales:
1 inch (1:12)
1/2 inch (1:24)
1/4 inch (1:48)
1/144 inch (dollhouse for a 1 inch dollhouse)
playscale (1:6)

The 1 inch scale is (in my opinion) the most common scale and the easiest to work with. Although the playscale would be easier to work with, it is usually more common for children, and is not generally associated with collectible miniatures (I am sure there are people who would disagree with me though).

On this blog I will be highlighting some of my own work, featuring cool stuff from other miniaturists, tips about mini crafting, and well anything related to minis.

Welcome to the land of minis!

Here is a pic featuring a wine cabinet and wine display. I found this at a very interesting store downtown Gwangju, South Korea, which sells everything from jewelry to vintage toys with some miniatures in between.

All I need to make now are some cheese trays to compliment all this wine!

Happy holidays and please stay tuned for my future posts!
